Commenting and Labeling

Google Video has added two great features today- the ability to label a video, and commenting on videos. These great features will allow viewer feedback to the maker of the video, and this definetly will help Google Video popularity.

Dancing around the World

This is a great video about a guy who goes to all these cool destinations around the world and does what? He dances.

There is also a YouTube video that shows his professionaly made sequel to this video. That video is located here.

Google Head

This is a really funny clip on "Google Heads". It's a music video about Google, but it's not your normal video. That's all I'll say about this video :P. This video was suggested by Kevin Nalty, from http://www.willvideoforfood.com, a great videoblogging site.

Soccer Videos

Now that the world cup has entered the knockout round of 16, and since I'm not going to be here for a few days, I highlighted four great videos about soccer. The first video is a clip about a slick goalkeeper move done in an actual match. The second is a slick bicycle kick shot, the third is a cool Addidas commercial, and the last is the infamous Roberto Carlos curved kick. By the way, I'm a total Italy fan when it comes to the world cup. Go Italy!!

Lazy Sunday UK: We Drink Tea

This is a response to the popular Lazy Sunday clip, found here. You should first watch the original Lazy Sunday (click on the previous link) and then watch this UK response. Both videos are very funny, and Lazy Sunday is one of the best all-time videos.

Sundance Channel, Paris Hilton, and Sponsored Videos

There have bee a few major changes to Google Video recently, and they include the addition of a sponsored-video section, with paid videos that can be viewed for free courtesy of Google Video's sponsors. These include a few wrestling videos, a couple of cartoons, and some great Documentary Channel Videos. Clicking on the more link reveals a much bigger selection of paid videos that you can view for free. All of these videos are available for free today only.

In other news, Google has added a paid section of videos from the Sundance Channel, which is a collection of shows and documentaries produced by the Sundance Channel. Some are free, and the pricing on the others ranges from one to two dollars. These videos are definetly a great buy.

Lastly, Google Video has added free viewing of Paris Hilton's new music video, "Stars are Blind".

The best of these changes is the free sponsor section, which now allows users to see some of the paid content for free, and decide if its worth to buy the other paid videos.

Ronaldo, Ronaldhino, Roberto Carlos, and Adriano at the Brazil Airport

This is a really funny Nike commercial of the four star Brazilian players with the rest of the squad at the Brazilian Airport, waiting for a delayed plane. They play an improvised soccer right at the airport, and it gets really out of hand.

Microsoft Ipod

You know those cool boxes with the large and lengthy details and no graphics by Microsoft? Well, this parody imagines how the Ipod would look if created by Microsoft.

Zebras

Zebras and gazelle are the primary pray of lions in the wild, so if you're ever out there, don't dress up as one, lest a lion--a hungry lion--be in the area. This is a very funny clip about life in the wild.

Dirt Bike Climb

It took a lot of tries, but eventually this dirt bike got up the mountain. That was after a few new bikes, broken arms, and a few injured bystanders.

Car Burnout

This is a really cool clip of five cars doing a burnout at once. Some of the cars even move while doing the burnout, and all of them put a big thick blanket of smoke in the air.

Vegetable Genocide

This video is a really funny clip of a few guys murdering vegetables. That's right, vegetables.

Cool Robots

This is a video of some really cool and smart robots that manage to make equal copies of themselves out of a bunch of blocks. The researchers at MIT continually add blocks to see whether the robots will respond and use these blocks in equal copies of themselves. It's amazing that its possible to build such an "intelligent" and versatile self-running robot.

Meteor Hit

This is a cool commercial for a Ford car that uses fake animation to show as if a meteroid actually hit the Earth. It's extremely realistic and of course, the tough Ford car survives it.

Diet Coke and Mentos

Yes, I have yet another diet coke and mentos clip to show to you, and this one takes the traditional experiment and adds a cool twist: dry ice. If you are going to try this, do it outside.

Gaming in the Real World

The following is a very funny video of how life would be like if gaming tactics and techniques were applied in the real world. I am a gamer, and a lot of these tactics are somewhat "inside jokes", so if you don't understand, don't worry, because they are all explained before each scene.

Diet Coke and Mentos

This is by far the best diet coke and mentos video you will see on Google Videos. All the other ones are really basic and simple, but this one is a whole show on the infamous diet coke and mentos reaction. They turn a simple reaction into a masterpiece of artwork, and this is a really cool experiment. Check it out!

This clip can be summed up in one setence. Drifting is only for race tracks, not for street intersections.

New Google Video Changes

There have been several changes and additions to Google Video. The first is the removal of the Random section, and the addition of the Recently Uploaded section in its place. I agree with this change, because before there was some problems with the randomness of the videos; many users reported seeing the same video in the popular section over and over again, and this recently uploaded allows any video uploaded to be featured. You can see recently uploaded videos by going to http://video.google.com or visiting this link. The second change to Google Video is the addition to the Movers & Shakers section, whose purpose I am not exactly sure of. It displays videos by country, and shows what country the video is most popular in, and I still don't know exactly what it displays, but I will update you on that very soon.

Nuke Bomb

It isn't every day that you see a nuclear bomb explosion. Well, now it can be, because as I was browsing videos yesterday, I came across this clip showing a big nuclear explosion. This is a really cool video and it shows how dangerous nukes can be.

Tetris Championships

I'm really horrible at games like tetris, and even on slow I manage to do poorly. I find it really difficult to place all the shapes together without any spaces, and as you're doing one piece another one is coming down. Well, in the death mode of Tetris Grandmaster 2, shapes come down at amazingly fast speeds and it takes luck and speed in order to win. As shown in this video, there are some really skilled Tetris players out there, and they play even the most difficult games with ease. If you think you're good at Tetris, you better think again:

New Search Interface

Google Video's Graphical User Interface has changed yet again. This time, search results look quite different, showing the clip time, title, and description only instead of the production company, as it was before. There are two columns of results, and they are alligned to the left side of the page. I don't really like this new format, hopefully they will change it again. Check it out by searching something on http://video.google.com, and above is a screenshot. Do you like it? Post your opinion in the comments.

Star Wars Battles

These two cool star wars battles take advantage of computer editing and graphics animation to create a cool battle with lightsabers. The editing must have taken a really long time, and I'm trying to learn how to do similar effects. Until then, enjoy these two videos:
