Diet Coke and Mentos...or is it?

A couple of guys saw all these diet coke and mentos videos, and thought, "Could this work with other drinks and foods as well?" So they tried it, and this video captures their results.

Lego Missle Launcher

This lego missile launcher is pretty skillfully made, it operates on electricity and can shoot toy missles. Not to instill violence into young kids, but the design at least is slick.

Picking a Masterlock

Pretty slick lock-picking skills, he does it in 30 seconds. After watching this video, I tried this. I kept on working at it for close to a half hour, and I still haven't got it .

UC Berkeley

The University of California at Berkeley is offering, for free, full course videos on Google Video. These cover a wide variety of topics, from information technology to physics and much more. And the best part is that it is all for free. Yepp, that's right, UC Berkeley is offering videos of all their courses for free. I didn't believe it either when I first saw it, but by visting their Google Video page you can see all of their videos.

Not a Drink Holder

Just to clarify, as this video successfully does: DVD and CD drives are not cup holders.

Lord of Halo:The Two Betrayals

As you probably already know, I love Halo, its my favorite video game series, and when there is a funny machinima video out there, I have to make it known. This is an edited version of the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King trailer, with Halo characters in the trailer. This is a great piece of editing, so check it out!

American Quiz

I was browsing the Official Google Video Blog, and saw this video. It was just too good to pass up. This video definetly deserves to be a Google Video Hall of Fame member, as it was laugh-out-loud funny. The moral of this video is to know current events and watch the news. Well, at least watch enough to know that the West Bank isn't in New York City.

Closed Captioning

Yes, Google Video has added closed captioning as a feature in Google Video. If you have any uploaded videos, submit a transcript immediately, and your videos will be rendered with the option of closed captioning. Only a small minority of videos actually have the feature, but it's a great step towards making Google Video accessible to all.

Bicycle Show

This video is unbelievable. If you think wheelies are cool bike tricks, you haven't seen anything. This girl can do crazy handstands and bikestands with a normal bike, all in front of a big audience. Takes a lot of skill to be able to do something like that.

Apollo Moon Mission Conspiracy

Grab some popcorn and soda, get a nice comfortable chair, because today I have a very long conspiracy documentary (just like Loose Change, except more realistic) about how the Apollo Missions were faked. Do I believe it? No, probably not, but, the video seems awfully realistic. And the fact that there is footage that has anti-gravity effects seems rather convincing. Well, check it out for yourself, and then post a comment about whether you believe it or not.

Helicopter Crashes

These are two very scary and life-threatening clips of a helicopter crash, the first being a military copter that spins and has a very bad sideways landing, and the second a Channel 4 newscopter that spins and crashes on the roof of a building and falls over. In the second incident, all in the copter survived, and even walked from the wreckage, but in the first video the fate of the people inside is not mentioned in the audio or in the video description.

Ferrari Accident

One of the auto crew in this F1 race gets hit by the vehicle when it is stopping for a pitstop. The video uploader describes it as funny, but I think this was very dangerous.

Electric Car vs. Ferrari

Now, an electric car like the Prius has limitations of 80 mph. How would it even compete with the Ferrari? Well, this video is a big surprise for many people, and it shows just how capable an electric fuel-saving car can be. After beating the Ferrari, it faces off against a Porsche, and the result is just as amazing.

Explosive Experiments

This video shows a series of experiments with a flammable powder that burns at very high temperatures. Just light the powder, combine it with things like dry ice and gasoline, and you've got yourself a big show. They even do things like burning through the engine of a car, and then blowing up the car by putting gasoline into the car. This is a great short video, check it out!

Motorbike Tricks

These are some pretty cool "wheelies" done on a motorbike. They aren't that great at it, considering that they fell and dropped their bikes several times, but it's a pretty slick trick when it's done right.

Flag as Inappropriate

There is a new feature on Google Video called flag as inappropriate. This allows users to flag inappropriate videos on Google Video for review by the Google Video team. This is a good idea, this will hopefully eliminate the loads of inappropriate videos that are found on Google Video.
